For those who have not seen Mayan Elders prophecy and predictions, I will place them below.
The topics addressed are:
1. earth changing events such as earthquakes and volcanoes,

NOTE: The year is not given.
8. and the possibilities or defeats of Barak Obama.

First the NOT SO GOOD news: The events below are consistent with recent Mayan elders prophecy/predictions which were disclosed August 3rd.

1) Watch for a nuclear exchange between Pakistan and India.
[This confrontation] has taken a large step forward in the last two weeks.
The latest news coming out of India and Pakistan below.
It tells of an escalation which appears to have measure of stopping.

- Pakistan Waiting to Infiltrate Into India
According to a report published in the New York Times, the United States is accusing Pakistan of illegally modifying American-made missiles to expand its capability to strike land targets.
Many assume the ultimate target of this modification to be India, the archrival of Pakistan since 1947.

- Report: Pakistan Increasing Its Nuclear Arsenal
NEW DELHI -- Indian Army Chief Gen. Deepak Kapoor said on Wednesday that Pakistan was going well beyond deterrence after reports Islamabad had increased its nuclear arsenal and was working to add cruise missiles.

2) Several Volcanoes Have Activated, and Earth's Wobble:
Also predicted was the escalation of earth changing events.
The Ring of Fire has been showing signs of increased activity.
In this phase of the Sun-Earth cycle, it appears the culprit is the Earth's core.

Recent studies show that fluid displacement plays a far greater role in plate tectonics than previously believed.
Studies suggest it is the ebb and flow of water, lava, magma, oil and any other fluid that cause pressure to be increased (flow) or decreased (ebb) on fault lines.

- Two Big Jumps in Earth's Chandler Revealed
The Chandler Wobble is a small variation in the rotation of the Earth on its axis.
It has been known for some time that the phase of the Chandler Wobble jumped by 180 degrees in the 1920s, but a new study by scientists at the Russian Academy of Sciences has found that the same thing also happened in 1850 and 2005.
But no one knows why.

- Fluid Displacement Could Change Earth's Tilt
Warming and cooling trends could cause Earth's axis to tilt in the coming century, a new study suggests.
The effect was previously thought to be negligible, but researchers now say the shift will be large enough that it should be taken into account when interpreting how the Earth wobbles.

3) THE REAL CAUSE OF SO-CALLED GLOBAL WARMING.
NO SURPRISE ... IT'S THE SUN.
But what is surprising is who is now coming forward and confirming such.
Below a few articles which suggest a strong shift in acknowledging the Sun is the main culprit.

- Global Warming And The Sun
(Los Angeles Times) The journal Science reports that a study led by the National Center for Atmospheric Research, or NCAR, has finally figured out why increased sunspots have a dramatic effect on the weather, increasing temperatures more than the increase in solar energy should explain.
Apparently, SUNSPOTS HEAT THE STRATOSPHERE, which in turn AMPLIFIES THE WARMING of the climate.
