A false sense of optimism

These are the words in part that I felt God was speaking to me:

"A time certain is set for my judgment of the earth. I will punish men andwomen for idolatry, sorcery, immorality, murder, violence, blasphemy, andindifference to me. What is coming will be too horrible for you tocontemplate. Know that the Day of Judgment is very near. Warn people to beready. Seek righteousness, seek humility, that you may be hid in the day ofthe Lord's wrath.

"There will be massive floods, tornadoes, violent earthquakes, and volcaniceruptions. There will be terror and heartache, blistering heat.

"The time of the great move of evangelism is coming to an end. Little timeremains.

"My son, open your eyes and see. An evil has been let loose on the earthwhich will not be contained.

Then followed a recitation of the troubled areas around the world...

"Argentina is in financial collapse. Worldwide recession or depression ispossible as economic shockwaves hit every country. One more September11th-style attack and the United States will go over the economic edge.

"America will never be the same again."

This word came to me on Sunday, December 30, 2001:

"This year there will be a false sense of optimism about America's strengthand the economy. People will forget the tragedy. It will be life as usual.Business as usual.

"Then the terrors will begin. There will be panic and the screams and cryingof the dying. Whether they listen or not, you must warn them to turn to Meand turn from sin.

"The revival that has started in the hearts of a few will continue to bearfruit and grow. I know how to make a difference between those who are Mineand those who are not.

"The Israelis will accommodate Arafat to their own great sorrow. Sharon isindecisive. He has missed his opportunity. Now it is too late.

"I will put my mantle over George Bush to protect him. He talks to me and Iwill lead him.

"America will not survive what is coming in its present form. The proud willbe humbled. Then they will turn to Me and I will lift them up.

"CBN is entering its greatest ministry. As people are gripped by terror,they will turn to a source of answers. Stay close to Me and I will providethe word for the people."

Then this word from the prophet Isaiah, "But all will be well for those whoare godly. Tell them, you will receive a wonderful reward. But say to thewicked, your destruction is sure. You too will get what you deserve. Yourwell-earned punishment is on the way." (Isaiah 3:10)

Then these startling words came from Isaiah the prophet:

"Destruction is certain for you who begin long drinking bouts that last lateinto the night. In that day, the arrogant will be brought down into thedust.

Destruction is certain for those who drag their sins behind them tied withcords of falsehood.

Destruction is certain for those who say that evil is good and good isevil; that dark is light and light is dark; that bitter is sweet and sweetis bitter.

Destruction is certain for those who think they are wise.

Destruction is certain for those who are heroes at drinking. They takebribes to pervert justice. That is why the anger of the Lord burnsagainst His people. That is why He has raised his fists to crush them."(Isaiah 5:11, ff)

This final word among others that the Lord gave to me, "2002 will be a yearof suffering and sorrow as natural and man made disasters strike the earth."

Again, I repeat, I present these words with humility and submit them toother of God's servants for confirmation or contradiction, as the case maybe. But for all who read these words, please be assured that God knows howto take care of His own and He is abundantly able to care for His people inboth good times and bad times.

If, indeed, the world begins to be convulsed by natural and man madedisasters, we can confidently look up to the Lord knowing that in the wordsof scripture "our redemption draweth nigh."
