Much is coming

MUCH IS ON THE WAY AS WE LOOK BACK AT THOSE FATEFUL EVENTS OF SEPTEMBER 11

By Michael H. Brown

It was the strangest, the most startling event in memory -- for the nation, the most threatening since Pearl Harbor half a century before. As we all arose that Tuesday, four planes were attacking the United States. They were U.S. planes and they were attacking us -- the Trade Center, the Pentagon -- on our own soil.

I was in Salt Lake City. I had just spoken there the night before, and for the first time ever, I had said during the talk (at St. Therese the Little Flower Church just outside the city) that due to abortion and now cloning, due to the quickening decline in morals, the U.S. was now going to see "the fire fall." Previously, I had always used the word "if": if it does not stop abortion, if it proceeds with abortion. But almost subconsciously, the words were now coming out as definitive, and the same had happened during an appearance in California with Medjugorje seer Marija Pavlovic Lunetti the previous weekend.

Now, in Salt Lake, I had just checked the Spirit Daily website on a laptop in my motel room on the morning of September 11, 2001, and was checking out in the lobby when a man came rushing in and said that a plane had hit the World Trade Center.

We immediately turned on the lobby television, and stood as close as we could, trying to fathom it. I thought it had been a small plane, a prop or commuter plane, that had hit it. It just didn't look that big. The WTC was so huge that you lost perspective.

I called my wife Lisa to place the story on the website and during a second call, still transfixed to the television, I saw a second fireball. I thought fire from the first tower had somehow jumped to the south one. I had no idea that a second plane had hit. I also had no idea that it had crashed into the 84th floor, where one of my closest friends, Daniel Smith of Northport, New York, worked and now, unbeknown to me, had died. Without knowing it, I had seen the accident that took my buddy.

On the way to the airport, I knew it was going to be a rough day of travel. When even minor weather or traffic-control issues arose in New York or Chicago, it messed up the entire flight system. I expected delays. But I got through security -- I was flying United -- and we were all set to board the plane when I called Lisa a last time. I'll never forget the call. She told me the Pentagon had also been hit, and that there was still a plane up there. Rumors were swirling that the State Department had been hit. She said they were going to close down the airports. I told her to make the headline on this website the largest it had been since release of the Fatima third secret. "TERRORISTS ATTACK U.S.," it said in huge red 36-point letters.

I had suspected something was coming. You could feel it. I had been granted indications by seers like Maria Esperanza. But this was really something. The towers -- the symbol of U.S. might and materialism -- were ready to fall. Throughout the Bible, the fall of towers are often a sign of purification. When I went to board the plane, the announcement came: the airport was closed; leave immediately; no further details. A United attendant at one counter was visibly shaking and they had shut off the televisions in case there was a terrorist in the airport, so he wouldn't be cued.

I left and spent the rest of the week stranded at the home of a great young man, David Trujillo, who had invited me to speak in Salt Lake City -- a week during which I felt totally helpless, unable to reach the airline, unable to get a train, unable to get a bus. I had even thought of renting a car -- but there were none, and it was foolish. It would take nearly a week to drive home. In my desperation I even thought of trying to hitch a ride in a truck.

It was a preview of what will happen if events cause our infrastructure to fail.

The prophetic implications of 9/11 were vast. It took us into an entirely new mindset. Many had grown lax when untrue prophecies related to the year 2000 failed to come -- but now an event had arrived that threw us into a new state of expectation.

So many strange things. In the smoke of the Trade Center, one could see demonic images. It wasn't just the imagination. I spoke at length to a police lieutenant in New York about it. There were stories about a strange angel-like man blowing a trumpet near the wreckage. There was a woman on Long Island who claimed that St. Therese the Little Flower had appeared to her and warned that something was going to happen. There was another New York-area man, Ned Douhgerty, owner of nightclubs, who had been given a prophecy related to New York and Washington during a near-death experience.

On the front page of The New York Times that day was a headline about cloning.

And so we now stand here today. What will happen next? That is for God to know. That is for seers to discern. I know only that more is on the way, and that it should be looked upon positively. As the Pope said Wednesday, God intervenes not to kill, but to purify. He loves us. He tries to open our eyes.

But it's a mistake to think that we can do what we want and everything will be all right. Our popular culture is an absolute mess, and no one is speaking about it. Madonna? Ozzie Osbourne? Marilyn Manson? Where is the outrage? Where is our moral leadership?

A war started on September 11 and will continue far into the future -- often burbling just below the surface, but often erupting with unpredictable results. That's the military aspect. But we make a mistake if we view all coming events in terms only of terrorism or military action. It goes far above that. The war is a spiritual one. Much else is transpiring around us. Note that 15,000 Frenchmen and at least 4,000 Italians -- 19,000 people, far more than died on 9/11 -- expired during the recent European heat wave. In China, more than a million had to relocate due to flood.

Watch these signs. Watch them escalate.

And urge our politicians to act. We elected President Bush to rid us of abortion, but thus far, there has been little action. They are still even doing late-term abortion. We must not be obsessed only with terrorism and Iraq. We must also look at our own evil -- or suffer the evil of others and the uproar of nature in the weeks and months and years ahead. We must realize -- swiftly -- that as many babies die each day as adults died in the Twin Towers.

That's millions of infants in the past two years.

Meanwhile, we went straight back to Wall Street. We went straight back to materialism.

Is "something" coming?

Much is coming. We discern this in prayer at the same time that, with prayer, we lose all fear.
