| FOR JESUS AND MARY | Dr. Mary Jane Even |
"My Sweet Children during these forthcoming summer months you can anticipate many changes world-wide, inconveniences and heightened security. There may be some times in which you need to make use of the stored water and food.
This applies to some areas of the World, but not all. I just want to keep you up-to-date as these times are very volatile.
Now Dear Children, there is only one way for you to prepare for any emergency and that is by praying. Many miracles can occur through prayer. Much strength and courage can be earned through prayer. This is the time to pray.
Developments may not occur where you are, but somewhere, and you should pray that you might have been spared. Rather than doing so, I see people ignore what is taking place in the World and think, if it doesn't occur to them, in their city, it doesn't happen.
My Children, I am the God of the World. These messages go world-wide, so I speak to all mankind. Remember this as I speak of events.
God bless you all. Pray well, for these are difficult days. - Jesus"
"Sweet Children, I am your Mother and I ask for your help in fulfilling all that the Eternal Father asks of us at this time. He asks for prayers for Souls, all Souls living, about to die, and those who linger in Purgatory. My Children, We still have much work to do to save Souls and I need your help, My Children.
I have requested that the great, the greatest, calamities not occur for awhile to obtain the conversion and salvation of more Souls. Time however is running quickly.
Time gets shorter with each passing day. Thus We have very little time to pray for more Souls to die in the peace of Jesus Christ and thus be saved at least for Purgatory. Time is needed to change people's hearts of stone. We have had extra time. Now time is precious and short. Pray then with Me for the conversion and salvation of Souls.
It may appear that I ask this of you a lot, but My Children, this is certainly My primary goal these days. Amidst My concern for the Church, Priests, and the Holy Father, I must continually turn to that which will give_ great Glory to God, and that is Souls.
Sweet Children, I shall speak to you often of this because it is of major importance. - Mary"
"My sweet Children, the Eternal Father has asked me to give emphasis this month to true prayer and encourage more prayer for these times and as a "cushion" for all future events. Why people have decided that they can relax their prayer and return to old habits is a grave situation? People think, perhaps, the worst is over, when it has only begun. This includes Catholics who have relaxed their interest in Heavenly matters, in their Souls and in carrying on a discipline of life.
It is truly amazing how people do not think for themselves but appear guided by the news media or worldly attractions. Anything, it appears, to dissuade them from difficulties. Whereas this time, more than any other, needs to be a solemn time, a prayerful time.
Do not neglect prayer. Do not think the worst is over. Recognize all that has been prophesied is yet to come.
- Joseph"
"Sweet Children, make your prayers a joyous hymn of Praise to your God and His Mother. You need not sing, but you need to be more thoughtful and attentive in your prayers. Think to Whom you speak. Try to make your meditation glow with the fire of love. Try to show a fire of love, of purpose, in your prayers. If said with others, give some appropriate pauses, speak together. Try to make the words thoughtful and honest representations of your heart. Do not hurry. Speak the words clearly and mean them.
It is Our experience that many prayers said routinely are said without a mindful understanding of what has been said, since prayer is a communication with God, the words should be said with meaning and not get lost in the_mind of other thoughts. Recognize that each prayer gives God a better idea of who you are and what you desire. Think about the prayer and not other things.
I counsel you on this as I see this happening often as you engage in your busy lives. I counsel you to speak words of prayer with more attention. - Jesus"
"Sweet Children, when the day ends, and Souls are sorted among the sheep and the goats, there will be a great cry among those who are unknown to God, yet thought themselves worthy of Heaven. This is due to the great hypocrisy which has grown up among some who wear their religion on their sleeve and have no great love for God in their hearts, some do not even believe in God. Many of these actually walk with Satan as his slave.
You can not fool God as you try to fool other people. God knows the truth of your Soul, your mind and your heart. He knows where your allegiances lie.
I speak this way to identify the truth of God's knowledge and justice. Those who are not with God are against Him. You__can not serve the enemy as a traitor and believe God will permit your entry into Heaven. He knows_all and will deal with all in His Justice. It is a sad state today to see so many whose lives speak one thing and whose hearts speak another.
Pray, My Children, that all those of false, imprudent lives will return to the true bosom of God and live as God wishes them to do so. - Mary"
"My Dear Children, try to read again all that Heaven has advised you will be part of the events of these days. Recognize the truth in these Holy prophecies and that the events happening world-wide today are part of those things prophesied. All prophecy shall be fulfilled.
Pray for courage and strength. Pray now while you have time. - Joseph"
"My Sweet Children, My lesson this month must speak about the importance of prayer, verbal prayer and mental prayer, quiet prayer, prayer alone, and prayer with others. I wish to speak of this because so few really pray well. I mean that. So few know how to bring it about that their prayer is given the Grace they desire from it. So few pray with a sincere heart, an attentive heart, a heart burning with the love of God. Some people say they pray a lot, both verbal and mental prayer, yet not much Grace is given to them because they do this from pure habit, routine and show a real disinterest in communicating their thoughts to God. Some show themselves to be full of self-pity. Some reveal they wish the time to go quickly, be over. So many attitudes, but few truly show acceptance, thanksgiving, love, hope and true Faith.
I say to you: make your prayers count. Do not say only words, but speak sincerely, trustingly, faithfully to God. The prayers many say are beautiful and the sentiments honest, but if your mind and heart are afar off when the words are said or read, you are not truly communicating as a prayer should do.
It is important you consider when for you it would be best to pray aloud or with others. Each person needs to think about this. Some people say they only pray well if alone while some prefer a group. Prayer in a group is fine if it lends itself to your personal attentiveness. Sometimes groups are chosen by persons because they consider it an easier way to pray. Some find the groups so noisy that they can not hear themselves think. This does not result in quality prayer. It only does what some think make it easier and in some ways makes it possible to not concentrate as the group moves the prayers ahead one by one. Please consider what is best for you and to help you through prayer to grow closer to God.
Now you also need to discern the proper type of prayer that you should engage in, at which times, and how to best engage in that form of prayer. Verbal prayer are those said out loud and those written by others mostly. Prayer of meditation or mental prayer is yours alone to consider, to assess and practice. Quiet prayer is quiet time, generally resting prayer. Here a person just rests and listens, recognizing you are present with your God, Jesus Christ and His Mother. This time is not cluttered with noise or words or rosaries. It is just time quiet with Me, Jesus Christ.
As you ponder what to do, you need to think about the quality of your prayer, the way you pray. This is important for you as a Catholic so God can help you grow Spiritually. I believe, if you fail to pray, you are in deep trouble Spiritually. Your Soul needs prayers. People go to Hell if they do not pray. So the nature of prayer is life-giving Grace for a Soul. And it is not enough to just say something but say the right prayers at the proper time in the proper way.
It is like the person who asks why do you have many images of the Blessed Mother? Isn't She the same person? Yes, She is the same person but each image conveys a different side of My Mother and the graces to be given through each of the images could be vastly different. So therefore there are various prayers for various reasons, there are also various images conveying various Graces.
Now it is important next to look at purpose. As I walked with My Apostles, I prayed a communication with My Father, talking to Him and asking for His help and His direction for My work. We did not stop walking, but I was able to separate Myself enough to speak to God the Father several times during each day. I say speak because I rarely used formal psalms at those times, but said hello by various words and thoughts. Each morning, early, I went out to pray alone, and each evening. During these times I wanted to give more effort to prayer, lengthy Psalms of Adoration, Praise, thanksgiving and Love. I was heard, for My prayers were attentive, meaningful and thoughtfully chosen.
Now in Convents, Cloisters Orders, they have chosen the type and form of prayer for periods during each day. That did not come about in a happenstance manner. Careful thought guided their founders toward their choices. Some people say, just say a prayer, any prayer, that's enough. No it's not. Some care, some thought should be given to the type and form, words, to be said and when.
Now the decisions made by you need to reflect your age, duty, place where you live and your readiness to conduct yourself alone or in groups. I do not want to imply you can not do a form of prayer, as all must learn how to do so. Also do not expect you will be perfect in doing so as you begin. All takes some practice to do it well and feel comfortable doing various forms of prayer. It is necessary for you to begin and practice. The older you are and longer years in Faith, the greater the need for mental prayer, meditation.
Sweet Children, while I hope that those elderly among you should have great skills in prayer, that cannot be stated with confidence. So many have forgotten, that they need to pray and how to pray. They say, "I'm too old", but I tell them all, that prayer is necessary. You must pray. There is so much to pray for. It is imperative for an old Soul to pray so as to be better prepared for death.
Yes, prayer takes time. You find the time. Yes, praying is work, if done well. Do not be afraid of a little work. Offer that energy also in reparation for your Souls. Look kindly at a picture of My Sacred Heart and Me. Try to see the human side who wishes to say hello. You say hello and smile. Talk to Me. Tell Me you love Me, you care. I need people to care about Me, My Children, and other Souls. This is the way to begin. Not with a heavy sigh, but with a joy. If you tell Me you are tired and sore, I will lift you up.
If you rejoice over something, tell Me. Remember, My Children, I love you. Do not distress either of us by your lack of interest in God and prayer. Find some joy in Me.
My Dear Children, it is important for you to look carefully at what you do and think about prayer and the act of praying. Assess truthfully what you feel. Tell yourself the truth. Now then begin to understand what I'm saying. I do not mean more verbal prayer. I mean to have you more united with Me in conversation. To tell Me you are happy, you are sad. Tell Me the reasons, explain to Me your interests. Talk to Me as you would a friend. This form of prayer, of intimacy, is more powerful than a great amount of time spent saying prayers in a book. Why? Because you grow closer to Me and show Me your love. Yet I ask you to not spend the time either complaining, or requesting, but rather just talking, friend to friend. This is a great prayer.
Children adapt to this intimacy of prayer easily and it should be encouraged. Then they will go to a quiet place and talk to Me.
Now the next step for all ages is to listen. Listen to Me talk to you. This part of the prayer is quiet and meditative. I make Myself heard somehow if you listen_for Me to speak. I give you ideas to grow in virtue. I remind you what you need to do. I tell you why you have been given those crosses. This is a two-way conversation. I love you and you love Me, and we speak together. This can not be done in a group. Please try to pray alone sometimes.
Now, My Children, this lesson is needed today to get you back on the way to advancing in prayer. People need reminding. Too often they get side-tracked or too busy.
Now be sure of My love and My desire for your love. - Jesus"
"My Sweet Children, these days of sadness within the Church and the World will pass as sufficient prayer is offered. It becomes so obvious that when the number of prayers_decreases, trouble follows. This is the situation today_. As the number of people slow or lessen their amount of prayer, evil becomes more apparent. Pray much, My Children, to help resolve all the conflicts so public today. Pray that the leaders in the Church and the World will conduct themselves for the good and not try to either hide the problems nor disown them. The situations are very grave.
We have often counseled you on prayer as the energy God uses to generate the World's functioning. Indeed prayer is so necessary that for the World to stop praying would cause it to have great crisis. Prayer than is also a healer, a balm, which can bring about great change for the better. Consider this aspect of prayer especially now for all in crisis, but also for yourselves. Prayer is the miracle worker, so to speak.
Now My Children, as you reflect on yourselves and your ability to pray and the forms of prayer you choose, consider also the intentions for your prayer. Intentions might be thought about and placed in your words as you begin to pray. Most people have many intentions. Some just say, "I give all my prayers to the Blessed Mother for Her Intentions." You choose your way of saying your intentions, but please do offer some prayers, at least once a week, for your Soul in reparation. Please also consider others living and deceased in your intentions. Perhaps you may wish to offer each decade of the Rosary for a different intention. Perhaps you have certain prayers you offer during certain tasks you do daily or weekly. Perhaps you could offer special prayers in reparation for abortion or euthanasia or child abuse. Then, of course, remember the poor Souls in Purgatory. There are many who need also conversion and reconciliation with God today.
There are some about to die somewhere in the World, who need Confession of sin for salvation at any moment. There are also your own family members living and deceased, young_and_older, alone or with family, who should be remembered also. The intentions are many, but I ask you to add for the Holy Father, the Church and Clergy, as well as for Souls to be saved for God the Father,_to give Him the Glory due Him.
Remembering your intentions is hard and a lengthy process. I recommend a small book be used to write these so you can read them to remember. I say read them because people sometimes just say, "all in the book." I suppose that would do, but the meditation on an intention gives some Grace to it. So don't be lazy either by using a book. I see it as a way to remember your interests in offering prayers.
Sweet Children, as you recall, all intentions offered though many, share in the Grace given. That is why having specific intentions for_attending Holy Mass, which is sometimes forgotten, is so practical. So many Graces are giving during Holy Mass, you do not want to miss out on them.
Perhaps also you could divide your week, and concentrate each day on another set of intentions. You decide. There is no best plan, yet Fridays usually have been reserved for the Poor Souls in Purgatory and Saturdays usually devoted for My intentions and in reparation to My Immaculate Heart. Sundays, many people offer up in Honor and Thanksgivinq to God in the Most Blessed Trinity.
Now, can you add intentions even though these are named? Of course you can. I only suggest some more universal intentions. So when I ask for your prayers for the Holy Father, Pope John Paul II or the Church and Clergy and the World, you place these with the others you have or decide to forgo your usual list and offer these instead. Now some people have added another prayerful exercise, such as walking the Stations of the Cross especially for My special intentions. You could say an extra rosary or say special prayers. Often I ask for special prayers such as a rosary.
Sweet Children, I am offering these lessons, as My Divine Son has done, to alert you to the need for prayer, but also to help many who do not know or remember how to pray and offer intentions. We are finding the basic lessons need to be given. These basic lessons are very much needed for those new to the Faith or have experienced a new conversion, awakening in the Faith. So few remember what they are to do. So many are so young as to have not been taught these aspects of Faith practices by the Modernist Priests they have had as Priests all their lives. So We are teaching basic lessons in Faith practices.
Sweet Children, I want you to know We have appreciated your prayers and remembrances. You have offered prayers as I ask for them. You do include intentions for those needs I request. This helps greatly, but We have a long way to go to achieve all that the Eternal Father desires. We must pray very hard that Catholics will resist the evils of the microchip, of the Anti-Pope, of the Anti-Christ.
We must pray also for the Government leaders to be able to overcome the devils set upon them. We must pray early that the destructions and trauma of the great events_ will be lessened. The turmoil of these days will be, but prayer now can ease, but not erase the destruction.
For example, a man needed emergency surgery, and has not had time to pray about it. However his many rosaries and their Grace had been stored up, and so he was able to draw upon that Grace for a successful outcome for his surgery. We call this "banking Grace through prayer." You can "bank" Grace for your family and your needs. It is a cushion against trouble. This is greatly needed today as you do not know what the next circumstance the Eternal Father has planned for you. With such a "bank", acceptance of life's demands is more easily achieved. Acceptance is a goal you wish to grow in. It will help you live in peace no matter the circumstance.
Sweet Children, to establish a "bank" for prayers, you must be consistent and disciplined in your prayer life. You can say, "I wish to add to the bank of prayers," for family emergencies, or for whatever you choose, or you can just pray in a consistent, disciplined manner. When you attend a holy hour or Mass, offer prayers for family needs now and the future. But you notice I said consistant, disciplined. That means you daily offer prayers, go to Mass, say your rosary, and such. We shall expect these prayers from you. Some people pray a rosary each week with a group in their home or at a shrine. They go faithfully, not just as they feel they have the time. This is important.
Yes, you are busy. Yes, you have things to do, but My Children, it is important you keep a regular discipline to prayer. Prayer is not for an occasion or sometime. It is daily. Make your duty a prayer. Make your life a prayer. Leave behind the worldly things that seem so important but are not. Leave behind the pressures of this age as they will draw you away from God. Don't get so drawn into life that your Soul gets lost in the shuffle. Keep always before you the needs of your Soul and pray.
We love all, My Children. - Mary"
"My Children, the Eternal Father's request to emphasize True Prayer has been the subject of both Jesus Christ's and the Blessed Mary, Ever a Virgin's lessons, but I will continue with this emphasis as instructed. We have spoken of this before, and We probably will again as it is so important. The emphasis on prayer and the need for prayer grows daily as more and more appear to lose their sense of priority. This matter is more difficult as those who could pray are persuaded that they need not pray or only pray a little. How this could be believed is a wonder. It stems from a lack of knowledge yes, but also the view that God wants you to enjoy yourselves in this life. Yes, but God never presumed that He would be dismissed nor abandoned in the process. Living a God-directed life can be a very happy life, full of peace and confidence. This is how it should be. Abandoning God by not praying and living only for this World is a corrupt life, a senseless life, as God made you to know Him, love Him and SERVE Him. This Means that He is your director, your helper, your way back to Him.
There is now a commercial, which equates the quality of the car you drive with going to Heaven. What a statement! Yet these are the lengths commercialism will go to dissuade you from True Heavenly matters. Yet such a commercial has meaning for some people whose life is so attracted and yet seeks Heaven. If Heaven was won by buying a proper car, I am sure each of you would. But you have more sense than that. You know the way is through Jesus Christ, His saving cross, and prayer. You know the Truth. Yet these people persuaded by such commercials need to be attracted to God and Heaven also. This requires a great deal of prayer and Grace. This requires a great amount of understanding and the gift of Faith. Prayer is needed to make such Grace available to these people.
So We discuss prayer and its Grace to teach, and yet more, to enable God to offer the gift of Faith to all people. It is a gift from God, _Faith in Jesus Christ as Savior, Redeemer, and Lord. It is through this Faith that Heaven opens its doors. We pray then for belief, conversion and salvation of all.
Prayer, True Prayer, is the means to conversion salvation. It is the tool used to fix, to heal, but prayer can work miracles. St. Monica prayed for twenty years for the conversion of St. Augustine, her son. She prayed. She had no other means to use. She trusted. She hoped. And he became converted, and is a great Saint. Do not lose patience, Dear Mothers, but recognize the great value of your_prayers. You may become discouraged, but continue to trust and pray. Remember it took twenty years for Augustine's conversion. How long have you prayed?
People expect an immediate response from a few prayers. Why, My Children? You have not offered sufficient prayers, nor sufficient Grace, to be assembled. You presume on God to do what you want, without much effort on your part. God hears you, but the time is not ready, the grace insuffi-cient, the effort many times faulty.
Start praying and do not stop. Keep your goal in mind and remind God of it. The Blessed Mother will help, but things take time, and it must be the correct time for a conversion to be complete and hold. Some waver in Faith if not completed at the proper time. Grace must be used properly and only God knows for sure. You be patient and continue praying with trust.
Now prayer said quickly or with little preparation or simply routinely is not quality prayer. Prayer said only for yourself is not wise. Much more Grace can be won if prayer is offered for others and the Holy Souls in Purga-tory. Ask the Souls in Purgatory to help you pray, pray with you, after you pray for them. They will do so. Yes, you can pray for yourselves, but it is better to add prayer for others except on those days you pray in reparation for your Soul. Here also you may ask the Holy Souls as well as the Saints to pray with you for your Soul that day.
It is always of concern to Heaven when one forgets to ask for help from the Souls in Purgatory or the Angels and Saints. It is very pleasing to Heaven that you call upon these who are in the Communion of Saints for your support.
The Saints come to your assistance and I assure you the Holy Souls offer great sacrifices of their suffer-ings for those living who ask, seek, their help. Then you can offer praise to God in His Saints and Angels and in reparation for the Holy Souls' speedy triumph. Oh how the Souls in Purgatory suffer! A few prayers from you offers them great relief and in return they are willing to help you.
Prayer, true prayer, is sincere, attentive, trusting and done in Faith. It is not selfish nor haughty. It is humble and earnest. It is communication, a conversation. So many people presume on their worth, believe God owes them something in return, wait for a reward for praying. Why? 0, dear Children, this is a false attitude. You don't get rewarded for doing what you are supposed to do. Prayer is something expected of you because of God as Creator, as God. You owe Him. He doesn't owe you any. It is you who give. God gave you life, and what life requires. He expects thanks, praise, honor. This is what prayer is. It is a thanks, love, honor, adoration to God.
Now My Children, try to pray with a heart inflamed with love for God. Try to be sensitive to your posture, dress, and behavior as you are speaking to God. Recognize Him as your King, therefore be dignified. I see some people yell, shout, harangue at God, telling Him what to do, how to do it, and when. 0, I assure you, no one hears them. God can turn a deaf ear to such displays.
There is a saying that, "God does not know him." It sometimes refers to a question regarding this or that person thought to be holy. Why does God say He does not know him? There must be something God knows that you do not. The truth of the matter is in God's eyes.
Now, does God know you? Have you introduced yourself to God? Does He know your voice? If you pray, does He say, "0 that is Mary, or Joe, or Jim". My Children, make sure that God knows you, hears you. Make sure also you have the Blessed Queen of Heaven as your support. Make sure She knows you. Pray Her Rosary.
Dear Children, We instruct you to improve your Spiritual life because We love you.
Until next month. I remain, Joseph"
This week we are taking a new book to the printer after nearly seven years of effort by a small group who have written about the lives and glories of 100 Saints. We have done this at Our Lord's request in order to make available to more people examples, models, of people, whose thoughts, prayers, and lives exemplified holiness and virtue.
With this announcement I am requesting advance orders for the book to help pay for its printing cost. The cost of the book is $22.00. It is over 500 pages in length.
With the first 300 orders, you will be sent a free gift. The free gift is a twelve month set of prayers to Saints, similar to those we have sent monthly with the messages. We have had all twelve months of these prayers bound as your gift, and they are not available in book form otherwise.
Please order your book of 100 Saints by sending the order and $22.00 fee to Dr. M. J. Even, 14 Trenridge Rd., Lincoln, Nebraska 68505, U. S. A.
