LIGHTS OVER SOUTH CHINA SEA
July 29, 2004

Shortly after Typhoon Mindulle devastated the Philippine Islands, one night I was standing upon the seashore under the stars, talking to my mom on the cellphone. I often call her from the beach so she can hear the waves breaking on the Philippine Coast (she doesn't get to see much sea waves in the mountains of Eastern Oregon !).

Towards the end of our conversation, I spoke of an urgency to intercede for the State of Alaska, and no sooner had the word 'Alaska' come out of my mouth that I witnessed a phenomenal sight over the South China Sea. At extremely high speeds, a pulsating blue-green light moved across the heavens NE to SW.

Talking to my mom, I begin to describe what I was seeing, and the unusual fact that it made absolutely no sound, even though the path of the object ~ which was roughly size of a Boeing 737 ~ was extremely close and traveling at low elevation above the sea.

Within seconds after this sighting, I looked down at the waves lapping up against the shore, and immediately saw another blue-green pulsating light beneath the water, this one only a few yards from me, moving slowly towards the coastline. I asked my mom, "Could this possibly be an electric eel or some kind of sea creature? But if so, why is it pulsating at the same frequency of the larger blue-green light in the heavens ?". Suddenly an amazing sight unfolded: The small pulsating light rose up out of the waters into the air and traveled from east to west ~ the direction of China to the United States ~ at the speed of a missile.

As I described these events to my mom while they occurred, the Holy Spirit gave me prophetic utterance to speak the interpetation over the phone while my mom listened: The first light was traveling in the direction of NE to SW. If you drew a line on a map, it was traveling in the direction from Alaska to the South China Sea. The first light represented a quickly approaching earthquake in Alaska.

The second light represented a conflict between China and the United States. The destruction on the seashore from Typhoon Mindulle was also very prophetic: the storm was unexpected, underestimated, cataclysmic and without warning.

Storms ultimately bring cleansing. The United States is moving towards a great storm. But the Eagle will ultimately support Israel and be a place of refuge for Jacob in a time of trouble (Revelation 12:14).

A great quake in Alaska will soon send shock waves across the world. It will herald a wave of healing for those who are thirsty for new anointing, and judgment for those who are drunk in counterfeit anointings. This Alaskan quake is so near that it is now only a breath away, and short of immediate angelic intervention can not be avoided, for a line appears to have been drawn concerning the division of God's covenant land in Israel.

It will be heralded by a smaller quake in North America, south of Alaska, in the 7-point realm. The inhabitants of the epicenter of this smaller quake should rejoice, for the quake represents a river of healing that will soon flow from that area to the nations of the world.

Likewise, the inhabitants of Alaska should also rejoice, for Alaska is an apostolic rock which cannot be removed, and a center for revival in the latter days.

If there is repentance after the first storm, the second storm can be calmed by the Presence of God. But if there is not sufficient repentance after the first storm, the second storm shall be greater than anything the world has ever seen, and shall arise out of the South China Sea like a super typhoon; unexpected, underestimated, cataclysmic and without warning.

PHILIPPINE UPDATE

The beaches which were ravaged by Typhoon Mindulle are now becoming beautiful once again. Three weeks ago the sands had been stripped from the shores, broken trees and debris littered the coastlands, but now the ocean tides are beginning to return our beaches once again back to normal. God created our beaches to heal themselves over a period of time. Mangos, pinapples, coconuts, and all manner of fruits are once again common, and life is returning to normal in Luzon (the northern island which was hit hardest by the typhoon).

Juliet and I have been involved in joint outreaches for the last several weeks, traveling with multi-denominational teams ministering to those who lost their homes in the typhoon, and with the help of local stores and businesses have been distributing food and clothing to those who were hit hard by the storm. Our family came out much more fortunate, and with a new appreciation for the power of God's creation. I have been through hundreds of tropical storms and typhoons in Southeast Asia, and never encountered anything like this, which really put the fear of the Lord into us!

Both the Philippines and Taiwan are now saying that this was the fiercest storm in the two islands recorded history. The typhoon seemed to have no 'eye', for the whole thing was an eye with 200+ kph winds ! The winds and unbelievably thick rainfall was the most extreme we have ever seen in this part of the world; it was unexpected, underestmated, cataclysmic and without warning.
