Practicing Empathy

In a dream vision I saw a WOMAN IN PURGATORY who was taught to FEEL MORE EMPATHY FOR OTHERS, PARTICULARLY THE SICK AND DEFORMED.

Her teacher gave her a special LENS, several times larger than the standard magnifying glass.
During each lesson she placed the lens over one of her limbs.
I watched her place the lens over her left arm.
Viewed through the lens, her once healthy and whole arm suddenly withered, disfiguring into a stump of flesh and bone.

The woman first looked in horror and disgust, but then she remembered that this stump was HER OWN ARM.
HER HEART SOON FLOODED WITH PITY THAT TRANSFORMED INTO LOVE.

Completing each lesson with the lens, she was better able to love others, particularly those whose disfigurement once repulsed her.
She was able to see others as children of God such as herself, and finally loved her neighbors as herself.
WITH SUCH LOVE AND GREATER, JESUS WALKED INTO JERUSALEM’S LEPER COLONY AND TOUCHED AND HEALED THOUSANDS.

Today and during the trials to come, PRACTICE EMPATHY.
Much can disfigure your body, but DO NOT let sin disfigure your soul.
LOOK UPON ALL WITH LOVE.
SEE WITH THE EYES OF JESUS AND YOU WILL SEE JESUS.
